After meticulous restoration, the five-star Grand Hotel Central reopens its doors, inspired by the fascinating story of its founder, the Catalan politician, patron of the arts, visionary, and bon vivant Francesc Cambó, and by the history of the building that houses it. We are in the heart of Barcelona—close to the sea, museums, theaters, iconic buildings, and shops—and our unbeatable location doesn't preclude the pleasures of other settings.

We have a secret rooftop garden and a terrace with an infinity pool. 147 fully renovated rooms and suites, a period library housing part of Francesc Cambó's personal book collection, a wellness area, period event rooms, and gastronomic spaces where you can truly be happy. The hotel's essence was designed by renowned master perfumer Alberto Murillas. Barcelona-based art curator Victoria Combalia has selected the artworks by local artists that grace the guest rooms and the hotel lobby, which serves as an art gallery with a rotating exhibition. This city hotel, housed in an elegant building which dates back to 1926, is situated on the famous Via Laietana road, and very close to the gothic quarter and historic part of the city. Within the area, guests will be able to visit numerous sites of historic and touristic interest, such as the Cathedral and Las Ramblas. Guests will also be able to reach the centric shopping district with its numerous bars, cafes and restaurants within a short stroll.
